Our Road Map

Our priorities in 2004 are:

Revamp all Schools Zone web sites.
Introduce Open Source tools into the CDAC Project.
Extend our services to the management teams of the schools in Hong Kong.
Extend some of our basic services to neighboring districts outside of Hong Kong.

Volunteer

The Schools Zone operation depends heavily on volunteers. They consist of people from all sectors of our society. There is a misunderstanding that only teachers could participate in Schools Zone. It is true that Schools Zone was started by a group of visionary educators and some of the projects like courses and teaching tools development need their professional expertise. However, 90% of the Schools Zone activities are carried out by students, parents, civil servants, retired executives. etc. Everyone could help. All you need is to contribute your time.

Media Programs

From the very beginning the founders of Schools Zone realized that media play a critical role in education reform as they could help us understand our dynamic society and also communicate our ideas more vividly to the public. We are pleased to work closely with all media to promote our mission and vision. This is why we have set up a system for media with a special focus in education to participate in all of our major events.
