Visitor's Guide
Dear Visitor,
Welcome to Schools Zone web site! In the last 12 months we have been working
hard to revamp our web site to make it more usable, better organized and
hopefully accessible to all. This is an ambitious goal for a small organization
supported by a group of volunteers. As we have completely reorganized our web
site, I have compiled some guidelines to help you navigating through this new
site:
- If you are looking for more news on education, please visit our "News
Central" section.
- If you are looking for information and announcements of seminars,
workshops and other joint-school events, please visit our "Activities
Central" section.
- If you are looking for information of Schools Zone projects, please visit
our "Projects Central" section.
- If you want to read and discuss about subjects on education reform, please
visit the "Forum" section.
- If you are new to Schools Zone or if you have any question related to our
operation, please visit the "Question"
section.
- If you need to find information prior to 1 September 2004, please visit
our "Old Web Site".
- Course materials on "Creative Digital Art Classroom" are relocated to the
following sub web sites:
If you still could not find the information you want, please try to use our
search tool. Please remember that the Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese
and English parts of our web site are not identical as most information is
supplied by the schools and we do not provide translation of submitted articles.
As more teachers and students participate in our projects and internet become
easily accessible, the web has become the most effective channel of
communication. In the summer of 2004 I have re-structure our web site to make it
easier to use. For more details about the changes, please refer to
"Schools Zone Web Site
Development Plan".
We hope to build an information-rich community for teachers, students and
parents where we all could share our knowledge and experience. If you have any
suggestions, please send them to:
"suggestion" at "schoolszone.org".
Enjoy browsing!

Our Mission
The objectives of Schools Zone are to promote:
- Improvement on the quality of education for the next generation
- Effective communication among providers and consumers of education
services
- Better education services through the use of technology
The founders of Schools Zone believe that we are entering into an era where
education is the single most critical factor for success for both personal life
and our society as a whole.
They also believe that it is important for the private sector to participate
in the reform of education to ensure that our workforce will be able to cope
with the emerging knowledge-based society.
Schools Zone will achieve this mission through the development and
cultivation of a cyber community for both providers and consumers of education
services.
